Classic Restaurant Style Jeera Rice
This is a simple, aromatic dish where the rice is tempered with ghee and whole cumin seeds. It pairs perfectly with any dal or curry.

Cook the Rice
Boil 4–5 cups of water with salt. Add the soaked Jeera rice and cook until it is 90% done (grains should be separate and firm). Drain the water completely and let the rice cool.
Tempering
Heat ghee in a wide pan. Add the cumin seeds, bay leaf, and cinnamon. Let the seeds crackle and release their aroma.
Assemble
Add the cooked, cooled rice to the pan. Toss gently with a fork to coat the grains with ghee and cumin without breaking them.
Final Touch
Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with Dal Tadka.
