Arisi Upma Kozhukkattai
These are steamed rice dumplings that make for a light and healthy dinner or evening snack.

| Idly Rice | 1 cup |
| Toor Dal | 1 tablespoon |
| Grated Coconut | 1/4 cup |
| Mustard & Urad Dal | 1 tsp each |
| Green or Red Chillies | 2 nos |
| Water | 2 cups |
| Curry Leaves | 1 sprig |

Grind
Coarsely grind the idly rice and toor dal together in a mixer to a rava consistency.
Seasoning
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, urad dal, chillies, and curry leaves.
Thicken
Slowly add the ground rice mix. Stir continuously on medium heat until it forms a thick, non-sticky dough.
Shape & Steam
Once the dough is cool enough to handle, grease your hands and shape them into small oval cylinders (PidiKozhukkattai). Steam them in an idly cooker for 10 minutes.
Simmer
Cover and cook on low heat for 12–15 minutes until the rice is soft and the water is fully absorbed.
